Women, Life, Freedom: An Iranian Revolution
On September 16th, 2022, a young woman named Mahsa Amini was pronounced dead in a hospital in Tehran, Iran. Her crime? Wearing her hijab incorrectly. She was beaten by the "morality police" and ultimately died from her injuries. Since her death, the Iranian people have been in a fierce battle with the oppressive government that currently runs the country.
Luckily, we have Iranian expert, Behnam Ben Taleblu, to break down how Mahsa's death became the tipping point for the long simmering anger of the Iranian people. He is the Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and provides important insights on the situation in Iran, discussing the past, present, and future.
